2009 bmw 3 series

2009 bmw 3 seriesThe BMW  3 Series was redesigned for 2006, so 2009 brings only a mild midlife update. BMW's bread-and-butter model picks up some minor styling updates in the front and rear, as well as new LED turn signals and tail lights. 2009 models will also get new wheel options to distinguish them, as well as new mirrors and mildly sharper lines all around to make the car appear more muscular than previous years. The 3 Series will continue to come in sedan, coupe, convertible, and wagon forms with the now-familiar choice of two 3.0L inline-six engines, making either 230 hp and 200 lb-ft in the naturally aspirated 328 or 300 hp and 295 lb-ft in the twin-turbo 335. For 2009, these will be joined by a 3.0L twin turbodiesel inline-six that makes 286 hp and 428 lb-ft.
The two existing transmission options - standard six-speed manual and optional six-speed automatic -- will be joined by BMW's DCT dual-clutch transmission that made its debut in the M3. Inside, the 3 gets a new stereo with an 80-gig hard drive, USB input, and an optional iPod connector. The navigation system now has an 8.8-in. screen on which it can display routes planned on the Internet thanks to the ConnectedDrive system, BMW's new in-car Internet access system. The car also receives the same revised iDrive controller with dedicated function buttons and voice-activated commands as the 2009 7 Series
